It depends really on the demographic (targeted audience) of your magazine, if it is for females then having a female on the front is a good way to go, if it is for both genders then having a mixed image of both genders again will work but for males it has to be more games, films and such,they wouldn't pick up a magazine with a girl on the cover. I was going for a mixtur but I had a female on the cover so it has gone more female now for the targeted audience.
You need to take your pictures soon Adam as they will change the whole look of your magazine
